Who are we?

The institute was originally founded in 1992. In July 2008, Ms. Ping Gan purchased the business and it is now called Australasian Beauty Therapy Academy. Since then, the Academy has been offering even wider ranges of training in Beauty Therapy, Nail Therapy and Spa Therapy.

We have designed Diploma courses, Certificate courses and Short courses covers all areas of Beauty Therapy to suits your individual needs and they strictly comply with the National and International syllabus to ensure your training quality is guaranteed. You will become one of our graduates who are extremely welcomed by the industry and employers. Over the years, our graduates have been proven to be the best therapists.

The structure of our training is based on integrating both theoretical and practical knowledge in order to achieve a logical and excellent understanding. Each subject is assessed by written exam and/or practical exam-some subjects require completion of case studies and/or assignments. Our Student Day Spa simulates a Beauty Salon environment and provides actual beauty services to members of the public. In this environment, you are able to apply the full range of competencies against learning outcomes in a supervised environment. You will therefore, be well-prepared to go and work and/or start your own business.

Who is the Principal?

Ms. Ping Gan has been in beauty industry for 14 years, she has been operating her own salons and lecturing in well-known beauty colleges in Sydney for years. She qualified as a beauty therapist in 1995, then upgraded by knowledge and skills in 2003 at The Strand College of Beauty Therapy, Sydney, she graduated with “The student of the Year” award, and obtained the S.C.B.T. Dip of Beauty Therapy, International CIDESCO and ITEC diplomas. And now she is an International CIDESCO Examiner.

Over the years, the students she taught are all around the world, some become salon owners, some work in five star spas, and some work on cruise ships traveling overseas. In 2007, one of her student was awarded “The Student of the Year” Sydney Region Vocational Training Award.

To deliver the highest standard in education has always been her passion. In 2006, she published a revision workbook which is designed to meet the industry’s highest standards requirements, and to be used by students for better and easier understanding and learning. It has been effectively used as a major part of preparation for international examinations.
